I am more than just a little surprised that no acknowledgement is made of the photographers who took the photographs they are using. It can’t be because they are all unknown as I know that most of the Whitby images were taken by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe – whose images are well known by anyone familiar with the area. And just because they may not be under copyright is no excuse for not acknowledging the artists who spent their lives documenting their local communities. Otherwise, it is an interesting compilation.
