Ancestry updates Manitoba BMD Indexes
The Manitoba Vital Statistics Branch provides convenient access to indexes of their provincial BMD records for births more than 100 years ago, marriages more than 80 years ago, and deaths more than 70 years ago.
Ancestry makes these available to search as “Web” databases.
The latest updates are:
Births: 719,060 events
Marriages: 447,279 events
Deaths: 580,338 events
British Newspaper Archives February Additions
The British Newspaper Archive took a three-week break in adding material meaning fewer additions than normal in February. The total number of pages online is 63,867,119, an increase from 63,316,243 last month.
This month 65 papers had pages added (148 in the previous month). There were 4 (20) new titles. Dates range from 1762 to 1999.
The 15 newspapers with more than 10,000 pages added are:
